Meet Our Dad Parenting Coaches In-Training

An ode to the DADS....

I had the incredible and rare opportunity to host a roundtable conversation with three extraordinary men who are currently enrolled in our
Parenting Coach program

Marc, Ian, and Roman all have something profound in common. They each have a deep passion for how to be the best dads they can be. In all of their experiences of parenthood, they’ve come to realize that not only must there be a better way to parent, but there must also be a way to help guide and support other parents through that journey.

Ok! Let’s meet the dads….

Marc Landau

Marc always felt quite accomplished as a dad and focused his energy almost exclusively on his business. When Marc’s wife Michelle Landau was going through the Jai Parent Coaching training program, he noticed a remarkable change in her and the undeniable passion she had for the work.

Upon witnessing Michelle’s experience going through the program, Marc found that he was ultimately uninterested in developing himself as a dad. Even though that was a harsh realization, it also sparked a profound interest in him. Noticing where he could be more present with his children, Marc became increasingly passionate about how to be a better parent through the Jai Institute.

During his time in the program, Marc has discovered that one of the gifts that has come from the Parent Coaching training, is that it has allowed him to truly
be with the feelings of his kids, to really step into their world with a sincere presence and connection.

“What I saw as a parent is that it's really hard to be with the feelings of connecting with your kids and connecting with what they’re going through … Because we as adults have numbed ourselves to the vulnerability that life is.”

With this and many more breakthroughs, the Jai Parenting Coach Certification Program has been profoundly transformative for Marc, not only drastically changing the relationship he has with his kids, but also his relationship with his wife, and the relationship he has with himself.

“Your kids are the future and you get to shape that, and I can’t think of another legacy that I would want to leave behind other than that.”

Ian Tompkins

Ian is a new dad, but he is now as clear as ever on how he wishes to parent. When scouring through the many parenting books, websites, programs, and resources out there, Ian realized that there are just so many struggles parents experience that he wishes to help them with.

Upon this realization, Ian became inspired to become a parenting coach and researched for a parent coaching program that would provide him the training he needed to support other parents in their journey, while guiding him on his own parenting path.

“I found maybe ten or so programs and Jai really stuck out to me because I’d made a list of all the things that I wanted to incorporate into my own education in coaching. When I read the Jai curriculum, I was super excited because it incorporated almost all the things on that list, which was not short!”

Seeing that Jai offered so much of what was on his list, Ian eagerly signed up.

Ian is continually affirmed by his experience with the Parenting Coach Certification program, and knows that it is absolutely the right fit for him, his family, and his passion for helping other parents.

Ian reflects, “Being able to provide that foundation for [my son] is really exciting because I’ve worked on so much within myself.”

Roman Wyden

Roman has always thought to himself, “Isn’t it weird that you need to get a driver's license to drive a car, but in order to have a child you don’t need anything?”

Having researched many parenting resources, Roman continually felt that there was something missing. Parenting books never gave him the depth and knowledge he was searching for.

From his son’s ADHD diagnosis seven years ago, Roman has been working on a documentary to get the core of “what is it really?” Based on his findings, Roman has found that ultimately it is rooted in the child’s environment, which really comes down to parenting. Roman realized that he couldn't talk about the necessity for conscious parenting without being trained in and modeling true conscious parenting himself, which brought him to the Jai Institute.

“What Jai is offering is what every parent should look into. I love this course and I highly recommend it not just to men, but to all parents because we’ve got work to do.”

Roman reflects on the importance of dads joining the Jai Institute, “When we men are in doubt, we go first. That is what has me commit to things like Jai.”

It takes a warrior to tackle each and every one of the generational traumas of our personal lineage, and these dads have taken the stand to go first.
