About Us

The Jai Institute for Parenting provides a comprehensive, science-based method & framework to train parenting coaches

What Is the Jai Institute for Parenting?

We teach a science and research based coaching model created for passionate parents, educators, therapists, healthcare practitioners and aspiring coaches, who see that the solution to the myriad of challenges that children face is in supporting parents’ personal growth and transformation.

The Jai Institute for Parenting helps you to rapidly improve your relationship with the children in your world while gaining the knowledge, skills and confidence to coach others as a Parent Coaching professional! Coaching is foundational to behavior change in adults.

And when parents’ behavior shifts... children reap the rewards.

We Train Parenting Coaches

to Become Parent/Child Relationship Experts!

Our students are conscientious parents, therapists, pediatricians, educators and professionals who SEE that the best way to help children is to provide their parents with education, support and coaching that allows them to be the parents they want to be.

We’ve trained over 2,000 coaches globally, and are proud that many leaders in the field are Jai Graduates.

We give our students the opportunity to improve their own parenting and to help kids through supporting parents with effective, transformational coaching.

Parent coaching provides the ability to earn money and contribute financially to your family, without sacrificing time with your own children or compromising your values.

Foundations of Our Work

Jai's curriculum has been developed and refined over the course of 12 years by our Director of Education and Jai Trainers, based on our method's principles and keeping up to date with the leading research. Jai's Director of Education, Rebecca Lyddon has a background as a social worker and Waldorf educator. Our master trainers have backgrounds in child development, trauma recovery, neurobiology, Montessori education, Early Childhood Education, and coaching.

Our methodology is rooted in Attachment Science (understanding the way we were parented as children and how it defines our relational context), meaning our ability to connect vulnerably and authentically with anyone outside of ourselves as adults, and specifically as it relates to our own children.

This is the science of the nervous system and of learning to self-regulate, so that we can co-regulate with our children until they gain the capacity for self-regulation.

We dive deeply into neuroscience, specifically understanding the development of the human brain. We teach parents to replace power-over strategies ("if you don’t do this, I’ll do this!") or power-under strategies ("I don’t want my child to be upset!") with our Empowered Communication Framework, which leans heavily on the work of Marshall Rosenberg and Non-Violent Communication.
